The 3rd annual Seattle Green Festival will be occurring Saturday, June 5th through Sunday, June 6th. This great event is a joint project between Global Exchange and Green America. Led by the Office of Sustainability and the Environment, the City of Seattle is proud to co-host the Green Festival in the Pacific Northwest.
“The Seattle Green Festival will bring together people from all over the Northwest to experience the importance of living socially responsible and environmentally conscious lives,” explains Kevin Danaher, Co-Founder of Global Exchange and Executive Co-Producer of Green Festival.
The festival participants will have the opportunity to learn about the latest in clean technology, green building, socially responsible investing, renewable energy, green careers, local food systems and farming, and engage in family fun activities. Attendees will also learn about the economics of a sustainable environment and what makes a green economy.
Exhibitors at the event include ShoreBank Pacific, Chaco Canyon Organic Café, Ecohaus, Goodwill Seattle, Peace Corps, and many more.
Speakers at the event include the Seattle Mayor MikeMcGinn, Dr. Kevin Danaher, the founder of Global Exchange, TransFairUSA and the Green Festivals, and so many others.
