We’re refreshing and expanding the consultant roster for immediate use and for future needs of the Commercial Space Consultant Program and Tenant Improvement Program through the Request for Qualifications process. Updating this roster will make our services more effective and give our participants a broader range of access to professionals. Consultants will help small businesses in completing the steps needed to move their projects forward and grow their business. We will choose some consultants to meet immediate needs, while others will stay on a list to be called when needed. The deadline to apply is Monday, April 14, 2025.
Commercial Space Consultants provide 10 hours of free one-on-one counselling for business owners. These consultants support the Tenant Improvement Program and Just-in-Time services, where we provide immediate services for Seattle-based small businesses when they arise. Services range from business advocacy support to lease negotiation and commercial real estate brokerage and more. In 2024, our consultants provided hundreds of hours of support to small businesses.
We’re looking for consultants in the following fields:
- Commercial Space Planning and Design (Architect): Assist businesses with all aspects of design development, construction documents, and permitting process.
- Business Advocacy: Support businesses to realize their business concepts, lease negotiations, evaluation of space, and dispute resolution.
- Commercial Construction Management: We’re looking for consultants with extensive experience managing small construction projects, a good understanding of prevailing wage regulations, and the ability to provide a Rough Order of Magnitude or Normal bids with this standard.

The priority deadline to apply is Monday, April 14, 2025. Final decisions are expected to be made by Friday May 30, 2025. Submissions received after the deadline will be reviewed on a rolling and as-needed basis.
