Geek’s guide to the 2011 Capitol Hill Block Party

Seattlites, gear up for Capitol Hill’s 2011 Block Party. Setup will begin Friday morning so expect E. Pike Street and 10th and 11th Avenues to be closed to traffic. Gates open at 3 p.m. on Friday so buy your tickets soon. Organizers say this year’s event will improve upon some of the chaos of 2010.

Seattleite introduces Ba Bar, from the streets of Vietnam to 12th Avenue on Capitol Hill. Ba Bar provides a taste of Vietnam that has not yet been Americanized in the slightest. Exotic specialties at this delicious destination include Ox Tail Pho, Vietnamese Frye Bread, an impressive selection of noodle dishes and many French-inspired Vietnamese entrees. Coffee and breakfast pastries are also available as early as 7 a.m.
