Mayor Mike McGinn, Seattle City Council Member Mike O’Brien, Chair of the Council’s Energy & Environment Committee, and the City Light Review Panel are seeking public input about setting a course for the future of City Light. Since early 2010 the utility has been developing a six-year strategic plan with guidance and input from the Review Panel. From May through August of 2011 extensive public outreach took place – including numerous community and stakeholder meetings, focus groups, online surveys, a telephone survey, and employee meetings.
Join Councilmembers Sally Bagshaw and Mike O’Brien, along with Seattle City Light Superintendent Jorge Carrasco, in a discussion about City Light’s six year plans for the utility at a special breakfast meeting session for neighborhood chambers and local businesses on Wednesday, March 28th. There is no cost for this event.
The City wants to hear from you on:
- Rate stability and predictability
- Power reliability
- Infrastructure maintenance and up-grades
- Conservation and energy efficiency
- New technologies
. . . and much more
