NEXT NEW CAPITOL HILL DEVELOPMENT PROJECT READY
Amid what might be the biggest construction boom Seattle has ever seen, comes a new development project being squeezed into the Pike/Pine neighborhood. The planned project, developed by Mill Creek Residential on land sold by Capitol Hill real estate and development company Hunters Capital, plans on constructing a six story building and creating 149 new residential units. The project will also include more than 11,000 square feet of retail spread across its ground-floor units.
Michael Marian’s company, Marian Built, brings new life and purpose to reclaimed materials, and has grown rapidly since August. Marian started his home furniture business in January 2011, after construction work dried up. As the local culinary scene has exploded, so has Marian’s relatively young furniture-making business. His original work is considered art among his peers and his recent success has seen local businesses and individuals lining up to get one of his unique pieces.
