BON APPÉTIT: WHERE TO EAT AND DRINK IN SEATTLE
As locals, we know that the best time to be in Seattle is right now. Not just for the amazing weather but also for the food. The city’s chefs are tapping into a casually brilliant dining trend that focuses on clean, bright fare made with produce from local farms and briny treasures from the sea. Though Pioneer Square is becoming a restaurant haven, the sunny weather beckons to be bathed in around town. Some “al fresco” options include Little Uncle by Cal Anderson Park, Picnic by Woodland Park, and Kedai Makan by Volunteer Park.

Though it sounds easy enough, the competition for people’s attention is growing. Content marketers who can identify patterns and give a call-to-action, among other things, will be able to produce an effective experience for their brand’s fans and followers.

Urban Visions has a contract to buy the Eitel Building at Second and Pike, with plans to renovate the 104-year-old, seven-story landmark to include a restaurant and bar on the top floor, as well as retail, office space, and residences. “It’s not going to be an easy project. It’s a historic renovation in a very small site at a very busy corner,” says Gregg Smith, CEO of Urban Visions, “I just think that now is [the Eitel’s] time.” Urban Visions has already bought several properties surrounding the Eitel building, making their recent purchase an accretive play.
