Interested in the City’s Budget? Here are some opportunities to hear about, and give input, on the City’s Budget.
Mayor Mike McGinn will be giving his 2011 City of Seattle Budget Address on Monday, September 27, 2010 beginning at noon at the Rainier Beach Community Center. The public is welcome, but an RSVP is recommended as limited seating and space is available. You can RSVP for the event here. For more information, please visit Mayor McGinn’s blog.
The Seattle City Council is asking you to participate in the budget process by attending three upcoming hearings. The public hearings will be held on:
Wednesday, September 29
Wednesday, October 13
Tuesday, October 26
Please visit the Council’s website, for hearing locations and times.
The hearings will also be broadcast live on Seattle Channel 21 and webcast live at seattle.gov/council.
The Council expects the public to provide feedback on the specific programs they want delivered. Another way to participate, aside from attending the hearings, is to share your thoughts online at the City of Seattle’s message board, regarding balancing the budget. View and comment on other’s opinions and input your own.
