The Seattle Jobs Initiative (SJI) will be hosting two major networking opportunities this year, the first of which will take place on Wednesday, June 16th, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The event will provide an opportunity for professionals and advocates interested in workforce development, employment, training and education to collaborate and build connections. Both events will encourage discussion of ways to strengthen and improve pathways to skills training and postsecondary education for low-income Seattle residents.
Featured guests at the June 16th event will be Desiree Phair, the Seattle-King County Regional Labor Economist for the Washington State Employment Security Department’s Labor Market and Economic Analysis (LMEA) division, and Juliet Scarpa, the Senior Policy Analyst at Seattle Jobs Initiative. Both speakers will discuss the local labor market and strategies to help connect clients to employment and education.
The morning event will be held at ACRS – a human services non-profit serving Asian Pacific Americans in King County (3639 Martin Luther King Jr. Way South) – and will include a continental breakfast.
To register, send your RSVP to rsvp@seattlejobsinit.com before June 11th. This is a free event.
