The Washington District Office of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) counsels and assists small businesses across Washington and Northern Idaho. Their small business guide, compiled annually, provides important information for entrepreneurs starting, building, and growing their businesses in the region.
The SBA Small Business Resource Guide includes step-by-step guides to accessing SBA programs and services, business licensing, state and local government regulations, and steps for preparing a business plan and legal structure. In addition, the guide includes a listing of local and national small business resources, including technical assistance and loan options.
The Washington District Office of the SBA maintains two offices in the state, in Seattle and Spokane. The Seattle District Office serves most of Western Washington, while the Spokane Branch Office serves Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho. Contact information for both offices can be found at the Washington SBA website.
